A paragraph of its own is devoted to the duo axis with Pepl: the quartet Hip Jargon became the Jazz-Zwio in 1975, documented on “Gegenwind” (1979), “Live in Montreux” (1981) and “Pirchner/Pepl/DeJohnette” (1982), at times also in Austria 3 and the Vienna Art Orchestra, the Viennese jazz big band led by Mathias Rüegg. Felber dates the end of the duo to 1985.
