Helmut Weinhandl
Studied jazz guitar with Harry Pepl at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz in the 1991/92 academic year, alongside his classical guitar studies with Heinz Irmler. He notated the extremely fast quartet score of “Obsession” for the internationally renowned Kronos Quartet (premiere 1991) by hand, by ear.
Guitarist and guitar teacher; since 2002 he has led a class at the Gustav Mahler Private University in Klagenfurt (formerly the Carinthian State Conservatory) and played with Horst Sattlegger in the guitar duo spielART.
