He met Pepl on the trip to the festival “Beyond the Sound of Music: New Austria/New York” in 1985, where both performed, and afterwards played pieces by Pepl, among them “Das Auge des Maulwurfs” on the piano at the Vienna Konzerthaus, one of Vienna’s two great concert halls. At a Jazzzwio concert he read from his texts during the interval.
Austrian composer and pianist (1935 to 2006), a border-crosser between new music, language and theatre, known for example for the television opera “Staatsoperette”.
