Rainer Rygalyk
He photographed Pepl over many years and in 2004 presented the Habanero show with him: hundreds of photographs set to Pepl's recordings of the Lonely Single Swinger Band, performed live with Clemens Salesny, Wolfgang Schiftner and Lorenz Raab at the Blue Tomato, a jazz club, in Vienna and at the Salzburger Jazzherbst. In 2006 he wrote the obituary “Ciao Habanero”.
Austrian jazz photographer and companion of Harry Pepl. He co-founded the magazine “jazzlive” with Wulf Müller, was the house photographer of the Porgy & Bess (Vienna jazz club) and died on 1 May 2022.
