Paul Zauner
With his Blue Brass Connection at the Pori Jazz Festival in Finland in July 1992, with Pepl on guitar; leader of Abstract Truth (“Beginnings”, Amadeo 1994, with his composition “Down Home” and the duo “Strange Uhudler”) and producer of the Flow CD (PAO Records, 1996).
Upper Austrian trombonist and composer (born 1959), founder of the INNtöne festival; he founded the label PAO Records in 1992 and had been touring since 1985 with his Blue Brass Connection and US jazz musicians.

He is one of the great three of the older generation. I admire his openness in music, the mix of the concrete and the non-concrete, and the blur that is exciting in any art.
